Notice to Families 

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have advised that the emergency situation on Drummond Street in Schreiber has been resolved. As a result, Schreiber Public School will reopen as planned on Monday, November 25, 2024.  We look forward to welcoming students back to school on Monday.   

The safety of our students and staff is our top priority and we thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time.

The following message is notice of closure of the Schreiber Public School on November 22, 2024.  

 

We have been informed that the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently managing a situation in the Drummond Street area of Schreiber. While we have been assured that there is no immediate risk to the public, we are taking the precautionary step of closing Schreiber Public School for the remainder of the day.

 

This decision has been made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
